Daphney Joseph
Est une actrice et productrice bilingue. Daphney a joué dans le spectacle de fin d'études du conservatoire de The Second City Training Centre, Person of Pinterest (metteur en scène Rob Baker) et dans le spectacle de fin d'études Longorm Save the laugh Dance (metteur en scène Paloma Nunez). Elle fait partie des Feature Players du Bad Dog Theatre. Son duo d'improvisation Coko & Daphney s'est produit au Harbourfront Center, au SheDot Festival, au BCIF, au Festival d'improvisation de Montréal, au Festival d'improvisation d'Ottawa, au Boston Comedy Art Festival, au Del Close Marathon NYC, au Philly Improv Festival, et bien d'autres encore. Daphney se produit également avec la troupe d'improvisation française Les Improbables et Le Club des Marteaux. Elle a participé à un spectacle de farces et attrapes pour le nouveau réseau de TFO, TFO FLIP. Daphney produit actuellement sa propre série web, "Chez Daphney".

She is part of the Feature Players at Bad Dog Theatre. Her improv duo Coko & Daphney has performed at the Harbourfront Center, SheDot Festival, BCIF, Montreal Improv Festival, Ottawa Improv Festival, Boston Comedy Art Festival, Del Close Marathon NYC, Philly Improv Festival, and many more. Daphney also performs with the French improv troupe Les Improbables and Le Club des Marteaux. She was part of a prank show for TFO’s new network, TFO FLIP. Daphney is currently producing her own web series, “Chez Daphney”.

Ron Loranger
Originaire de Kapuskasing, Ron Loranger est un artiste visuel franco-ontarien. Sa pratique, généralement intitulée " Blobettes ", fait appel à l'aquarelle et à l'encre de Chine sur papier Arches, mais prend également la forme d'installations peintes dans des environnements urbains. Son expérience professionnelle comprend des expositions dans des galeries privées à Toronto, New York et Berlin, et dans des galeries publiques, comme la Galerie Paquin de Kapuskasing, la Sudbury Art Gallery et la Glendon York University Gallery. Il a également participé à la Biennale d'art textile de San José (Costa Rica) et à la Fair of Alternative Art of Sudbury (FAAS). Ses œuvres font partie de collections privées en Amérique du Nord et en Europe.
Originally from Kapuskasing, Ron Loranger is a Franco-Ontarian visual artist . His practice, usually entitled “Blobettes”, involves watercolour and India ink on Arches paper, but also takes the shape of painted installations in urban settings. His professional experience includes exhibits in private galleries in Toronto, New York City and Berlin, and in public galleries, such as Kapuskasing’s Galerie Paquin, the Sudbury Art Gallery and the Glendon York University Gallery. He also took part in the Biennial of Textile Art in San Jose (Costa Rica) and the Fair of Alternative Art of Sudbury (FAAS). His works are part of private collections throughout North America and Europe.

Blobettes ou blobs pour faire court. Dans ce travail l’artiste a voulu conserver dans la transformation numérique autant de tonalité, de valeur et de détails que possible à l'intérieur des Blobettes. Ron a imaginer les blobs de la taille d'un abribus et espacés de façon aléatoire, se déplaçant toujours à faible vitesse comme une pluie. Créant un sorte de hasard ou l'apparence du hasard.

Blobettes or blobs for short. I would like to maintain in the digital transformation as much tone and value and details in the interior as possible. I imagine them sized as to a bus shelter and spaced randomly always traveling at a slow speed like rain. Creating randomness or the appearance of it.

Dans le cadre d'un projet intitulé Free Sugar, l'artiste a prétendu, sur un ton satirique, "réparer" les trous dans la vie des gens avec du glaçage rose. Cela l'a amenée à "réparer" des trous dans des intérieurs domestiques, des paysages urbains, la nature et sur le corps pour illustrer comment des solutions rapides mal choisies et administrées peuvent causer plus de mal que de bien.
Pour le musée artificiel, elle utilise la réalité augmentée pour créer un paysage apocalyptique qui tente de "réparer" la ville en la recouvrant de glaçage rose. En lien avec la pandémie actuelle, cette œuvre pince-sans-rire explore l'impact que peut avoir une substance nocive lorsqu'elle s'infiltre dans le monde et s'accumule.

Title: Free Sugar
For a project entitled Free Sugar the artist has satirically claimed to “repair” the holes in people’s lives with pink icing. This has led her to “repair” holes in domestic interiors, urban landscapes, nature and on the body to illustrate how poorly chosen and administered quick fixes can cause more harm than good.
For the Artificial Museum, she will be employing augmented reality to create an apocalyptic landscape that attempts to “repair” the city by covering it with pink icing. In link with the current pandemic, this tongue and cheek work explores the impact a harmful substance can have when it infiltrates the world and accumulates.
Jeff Tran
Est un artiste multimédia canadien d'origine vietnamienne de Toronto. Il travaille dans le domaine de l'animation par ordinateur en tant qu'artiste de storyboard, de layout 3d et de rigging. Ses courts métrages ont reçu le soutien du CAO, du Conseil des Arts du Canada et de l'ONF et ont été projetés dans le monde entier aux festivals du film de New York, Londres et San Diego.

Is a Vietnamese Canadian multimedia artist from Toronto. He works in computer animation as a storyboard, 3d layout and rigging artist. His short films received support from OAC, Canada Council and NFB and has screened worldwide at the New York, London, San Diego film festivals.
Nadine Valcin
Nadine Valcin est une artiste bilingue basée à Toronto dont les œuvres touchent aux questions d’histoire, de mémoire, de langage, d’identité raciale et de justice sociale. Sa pratique est variée est comprend des courts métrages de fiction, des moyens métrages documentaires, des œuvres expérimentales et des installations ainsi que projets de réalité virtuelle. Parmi ses réalisations pour l’Office national du film du Canada, on retrouve les documentaires Black, Bold and Beautiful , Une école sans frontières et À quand la justice.
Nadine est récipiendaire de nombreux prix et subventions incluant deux bourses Chalmers de recherche artistique et un Drama Prize du National Screen Institute. Elle détient une maîtrise en beaux-arts de l’université OCAD et un diplôme professionnel en architecture de l’Université McGill. Elle a participé aux ateliers Doc Lab, Women in the Director’s Chair et ceux du National Screen Institute. Elle a été artiste-en-résidence à l’école de droit Osgoode de l’université York et, plus récemment, à Bibliothèque et archives Canada dans le cadre du programme de recherche Archive/Counter-Archive.
Nadine Valcin is an award-winning bilingual media artist based in Toronto whose work deals with issues of history, memory, racial identity, language and social justice. Her practice is varied and includes short narrative films, long-form documentary, short experimental works and installations as well as virtual reality. She has directed four documentary projects for the National Film Board of Canada, including the critically acclaimed Black, Bold and Beautiful, Une école sans frontières (A School without Borders) and Still Waiting for Justice.
Nadine has been awarded numerous grants and prizes including two prestigious Chalmers Arts Fellowships and a Drama Prize from the National Screen Institute. She holds an MFA in Digital Futures from OCAD University and a professional degree in architecture from McGill University. She is an alumna of Doc Lab, Women in the Director’s Chair, and the National Screen Institute and has been an artist-in-residence at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and, more recently, at Library and Archives Canada through the research project Archive/Counter-Archive.

Still Life is a hopeful reminder of the necessity to reconnect with each other after the long periods of isolation we all experienced during the pandemic. It is a play on the stillness that enveloped our existence and a reaching towards that celebrates the fact that we are still alive.
